Comprehensive Healthcare Plans

Our basic group healthcare benefits are available for all eligible plan members and dependants, with no maximum age for eligibility. Our group healthcare coverage options include:
- Ambulance services
- Hospital and nursing care
- Medical travel within Canada when a plan member is referred by a physician for medical treatment within Canada
- Medical supplies and equipment, including:
- breathing equipment
- orthopedic equipment
- prosthetic equipment
- mobility aids
- communication aids
- diabetic supplies
- optional medical supplies including incontinence supplies
- Diagnostic services for diagnostic lab and X-ray services not covered by provincial health plans
- Dental accident coverage
You may also choose to offer these optional benefits to your plan members:
- Out-of-country medical care while traveling for business, vacation, or education purposes
- Paramedical coverage – may include the following practitioners:
- chiropractors
- psychologists/social workers
- physiotherapists
- podiatrists (and chiropodists)
- speech therapists
- dietitians
- osteopaths
- naturopaths
- acupuncturists
- massage therapists
- Visioncare – you may choose to cover:
- eye exams only
- eye exams, glasses and contact lenses
- glasses and contact lenses only
- laser eye surgery (plan members receive benefits equivalent to those offered for glasses or contact lenses)
- Optional diabetic supplies
- Other medical supplies including hospital beds, bed rails, trapeze bars, traction apparatus, pressure garments, food substitutes and pumps for tube feeding
Preferred Vision Services
Our healthcare plans include the added feature of the Preferred Vision Services (PVS) program, which provides a valuable discount on eyewear and accessories at registered locations across Canada.
The PVS program allows your plan members to purchase quality eyewear at savings of up to 20 per cent at registered PVS locations. These savings are available on:
- frames
- prescription lenses
- contact lenses
- lens extras such as scratch guard, tints, etc.
- non-prescription eyewear and accessory items, at most PVS locations
