PlanDirect is an individual health and dental plan that’s perfect for people who are losing their group benefits coverage. Plan members aged 50 to 74 are accepted for a PlanDirect plan at guaranteed acceptance rates, without providing medical information.
If a plan member:
- Has been covered under a group health and dental plan for at least 6 months,
- Is covered by the Government Plan in his or her province or territory of residence,
- Is between the ages of 50 and 74, and
- Applies for PlanDirect within 60 days of losing his or her group coverage,
they can apply for a PlanDirect plan and will automatically qualify at our guaranteed acceptance rates, without providing medical information. If the plan member completes the Medical and Lifestyle Questionnaire in the application, he or she may qualify for PlanDirect Preferred or Preferred Plus rates.
