Coverage for Children – Child Oasis
The Child Oasis™ plan affords quality protection to help provide families with the financial resources to support the recovery and care of a child in the event of a critical condition and help ensure the child’s future insurability.
The Child Oasis plan provides the owner with a one-time lump-sum benefit if the insured has a critical condition that meets one of the definitions set out in the policy and the survival period has been satisfied.
Some of the features and optional benefits available include:

- Coverage for 24 critical conditions including 5 childhood-related critical conditions

- Conversion option at age 25 – purchasing Child Oasis now can protect your child’s insurability—2 months before your child’s 25th birthday, you may apply to convert all or a portion of the coverage, without underwriting, to a critical illness insurance policy made available by us for conversion.
- A supplementary benefit for certain non-life threatening conditions (10% of the benefit amount, to a maximum of $25,000).
- Guaranteed premium for the basic policy and any optional benefit riders.
- We cannot change the policy while it is in force, unless you request it.
- Return of Premium at Expiry Rider – provides for the return of up to 100% of the eligible premium paid for the policy if the policy is in force on the insured’s 25th birthday.
- Return of Premium at Death Rider – provides for the return of the eligible premium paid for the policy if the insured dies from any cause.
