Adding Optional Benefits

Eligibility – You’re eligible to apply for these optional benefits if you’re covered under a PlanDirect plan. Your spouse and children must be covered under your PlanDirect plan to be eligible for the optional benefits.

How to apply – When you apply for PlanDirect plan coverage, select the optional benefits on the application. Hospital Cash, Major Dental Services and Supplies Benefit or Enhanced Prescription Drug Benefits are only available when you first apply for PlanDirect coverage. Once your policy is in force, you won’t be able to add Optional Benefits later.

Cost – Your rate depends on the province in which you live and whether you cover only yourself, you and your spouse or your whole family. Visit our Coverage Cost page to calculate what your premium cost might be when you include optional benefits.
